First Baptist Portales partner again with the New Mexico Baptist Children's Home, along with Emmanuel, Calvary, University, and Dora Baptist Churches in sponsoring this summer's Mega Sports Camp on June 4-7. The camp was held at the Baptist Children's Home (2200 South Avenue I).
Mega Sports Camp 2018 saw 260 participants enrolled, with 202 of those being kids. It featured Club 45 for 4 and 5 year olds; Boy's Basketball, Girl's Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Rodeo, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Nerf Wars, Cheerleading, and Crafts.
