Celebration Worship is at 9:30 AM on Sunday.

Our service features a choir, accompanied by a band comprised of such instruments as guitar, bass, key board, drums, piano and organ, under the direction of our lead worshiper, Wayne Anderson. Music selections are contemporary hymn arrangements and praise and worship songs. We want to celebrate the greatness and majesty of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, by every possible means we can!

Iglesia Bautista Christo La Puerta se reúne todos los domingos a las 10:45 AM y 5 PM; y los miércoles a las 5 PM. Los niños asisten al estudio de la Biblia mientras los adultos adoran. El pastor es Arturo Villa - (575) 825-1860.

 

Worship Choir - Our worship choir is the worship leadership team for our Sunday service. Rehearsal is on Wednesday nights at 6 PM. No auditions are required to participate. You are welcome to just show up and sing with us! We meet for rehearsal in the choir room.
Musicians - If you play piano, organ, keyboard, guitar, drums, bass, or something else, you are welcome to audition. You may speak with our Lead Worshiper, Wayne Anderson, about your interest in auditioning to play with our musicians or show up on Wednesdays when the team rehearses at 5 PM in the worship center.
Technicians - We are always looking for help in the area of running sound, operating our projection system, or running the camera we use to video our services each week.
Choral Programs - Christmas and Easter are BIG DEALS here at First Baptist, Portales! Again, anyone who wants to participate is welcome. We schedule additional rehearsals on Sunday afternoons as we prepare for our Christmas or Easter programs. These special practices are usually scheduled at 4 PM.
