Kids Rock! Our kids ministry program is for infants - 6th grade. We provide an environment for your child with volunteers who are passionate about what they do and trained to care for your kids as they teach about the love of Christ. We have connection groups for al! ages on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM and our AWANA program for children 3 yrs old-6th grade is on Sunday nights at 5:00 PM during the school year.

We believe children of all ages must come to learn that Jesus Christ is the ROCK on which they can build a life. He is the ROCK that will guide their decisions, He is the ROCK that will impact every single relationship they will ever have, He is the ROCK of truth and should they determine in their ways to acknowledge them, He will direct their paths for a lifetime.

Our mission is to go and teach all children, baptizing them as they accept Christ as Savior, and teaching them to obey all thingp Jesus has taught and commanded.

Other Activities:

 

All of our 3^rd-6^th graders are invited to join us each spring for this event. It involves an overnight stay in Albuquerque, NM. We usually leave on a Friday, spend a fun afternoon there, attend the evangelism conference all day Saturday, and then head back to Portales late Saturday afternoon. The accommodations and meals are provided, and all that families are asked to pay is the $30 conference fee.

 

 

Mission Camp is held at Inlow Baptist Encampment every July. The camp is for kids who have completed 2nd through 6th grade. Cost is around $50 per child, but scholarships are available.

 

 

We partner with our community around Halloween each year to offer this safe event for families. We set up bounce houses and distribute candy in our church parking lot. In 2017, we had over 1300 people attend our Safe Trick or Treat event.

 

 

Our AWANA clubs like to celebrate the Christmas season by practicing and performing a Christmas musical for their families and our church family.
